From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

Why has GF Smith joined Working Voices?

Jean Hahn, Human Resources Manager said:

“We decided to support Working Voices for two main reasons. Firstly, it means that our staff get the chance to give their opinions on the NHS if they want to – often people who work don’t have the time or the opportunity to contribute, and we felt if we could help to change that, we should do.

“Secondly, as part of our new and improved communication with the NHS we are being put in contact with NHS experts who can come into our work place and offer free sessions for our managers and staff on topics that will contribute to a healthier lifestyle. The NHS may also be able to help us with some of the issues we face as a company from time to time related to employee health.

“Working Voices fits with our culture and ethos and our business objective of improved Staff Engagement, hence we are happy to support it.

About G.F Smith

From 1885 onwards G.F Smith has become one of the UK’s most well-respected and successful brands in the world of fine papers. Fiercely proud of its Hull roots, the company trades both nationally and internationally with exports to over 60 countries.

George Frederick Smith built a business based on three fundamentals – remarkable people, relationships and a desire to seek out and bring the very best to the marketplace. George’s legacy from 130 years ago is key to our success today and these values have never been more deeply ingrained.

Our plans for the medium term include further developing our international sales market, continually investing in employee engagement to ensure G F Smith is a local employer of choice and looking towards 2017 to see what part we can play in City of Culture year.
