As you will be aware, NHS North Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group was placed under formal directions by NHS England in August. As part of this on-going support, NHS England has appointed a “Turnaround Director” for the CCG.

Emma Latimer, who remains Accountable Officer at NHS Hull CCG, will be taking up the new role from October to work with North Lincolnshire CCG and its partners within the local health system to understand the risks and issues, and implement different ways of working.

Dr Margaret Sanderson, NHS North Lincolnshire CCG Chair, said Emma’s input at this hugely important time for health and care would be valued by the local health system.

“This will further support the work of the CCG Governing Body and CCG staff as they continue to tackle the challenges the organisation faces to ensure our local people receive safe, quality and sustainable health care,” said Dr Sanderson.

NHS North Lincolnshire CCG is also currently part of the capped expenditure programme (CEP), alongside the acute trust Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust, which seeks to address the deterioration in finances currently being experienced across the local health community.

Emma Latimer said: “Having worked in this locality as the STP lead, I have seen lots of challenges and opportunities that I will work through with partners to support the CCG to move from directions.”
