month, after junior doctors voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.

The result of the British Medical Association (BMA) ballot announced today has shown 98% of junior doctors to be in favour of full strike action, from a 76% turnout.

Provisional dates for industrial action have already been announced by the BMA, namely 1st December, when emergency cover only would be provided for a 24hr period, and 8th and 16th December when full strike action would take place between 8am and 5pm.
