NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is pleased to confirm the appointment of Dr Dan Roper as Chair of the CCG Board.
Dan Roper was born in Hull. After graduating at Edinburgh University he completed his GP training in Hull and has been a local GP for 27 years. He is GP Principal at Springhead Medical Centre.
Dan is passionate about improving the city’s health and has a long history of working with local organisations to promote health issues and equality of opportunity. His areas of clinical specialty are cardio-vascular and minor surgery. He has also been involved in medical education for many years and sports medicine including a long association with the local amateur boxing scene.
After successfully completing a national assessment process, Dan Roper’s appointment was unanimously approved by the CCG Board and ratified by the Council of Members at their November meeting. The appointment runs through to 31 March 2016.

He brings huge authority, vision and clinical experience to the role of Chair of the Governing Body of the CCG.
